I went to look at a horse yesterday, Wednesday, with a friend. He is a gorgeous NSH, here is a link to his sale page: horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad166476Well, if you clicked on the link you'll see that he is sold. I wrote her a check right there. He needs a little work, but my 10 yr old dd will be able to ride & show him shorly after he settles into his new surroundings. DH has not said one word to me since I got home. It may be a couple of days before he speaks to me. Please keep us in your prayers, that God will soften his heart. I didn't go behind his back either. Everytime he sees me on the computer I'm looking at horses for sale. I told him that I was going to look at this horse today. He knows that I wanted to buy a horse that Clarissa could ride. Please just pray for peace and understanding in our house. Thanks

WOW...what a great example of that cross! He's cute!!!!
Sorry about the DH problems. Very often it's other, underlying worries about money, job, etc. that they just can't express except in anger/silence. Give him time.

I've been MIA for a while. Romeo is doing really well. Unfortunately, we have had nothing but really cold, wet, nasty weather since I bought him. I've been up on him once and Clarissa, my daughter has been on him a handful of times. Thank God it looks like the weather may be on a warming trend. We finally got out of the 20's today. I think we may have hit 40. Tomorrow is supposed to be about the same and Sunday closer to 50 We've got several things going on Sunday, church, out to eat, 4H horse group and then to the barn to feed our horses. You hit it right on the head about the underlying worries. Will was between contracts and starting to worry about when he would work again. He was scheduled to start a new contract at the end of March. But God is so good! The day after I got Romeo he got a call for a different contract, making more money than he has ever made. Before he left he asked if I was going to be going to the barn and that maybe he should come and see the new horse. He connected pretty quickly with Romeo. Now, wen I tell hime about Clarissa riding Romeo, you can just hear in his voice that he's glad to hear that they are doing well. I will try to get here more often.

Here's a not so great (the lens was dirty) pic of me on him. Next, we put my daughters saddle on him and she walked and trotted him. She was in her glory! All smiles.

Here are a couple of pics I took of him a couple of after the ice storm about a week after i got him. No he is not in snow. He is on solid ice and didn't even put a dent, no less a crack in the ice. He is a sweetie, very friendly and affectionate. Definitely loves to please. Can't wait until we can really start getting him ridden and ready for shows.

I promise that Clarissa has been wearing a helmet everytime she rides. Don't know how she managed to get away without one on that day :-(
I think he's pretty easy on the eyes myself :-)
