Anybody have one or ride in one? I have owned many nice "upper-end" saddlesl, but have decided in the name of my equitation needs as well as just $$, to go back to my old favorite...the Sovereign by Crosby. I have found a few in great condition, but just wondered if anyone had any negative experiences with the workmanship that I should be aware of before I purchase one. Thanks!

None.
I had a Prix in sella leather before they came out with the Sovereign (which is a Prix in sella leather).
In fact, I need to buy an old Prix myself. It's been too long. I'm riding a no-name made in England right now- it works, but the Prix des Nations was a nice saddle, wasn't it?

I feel so secure in it....plus, my eq has always been 100% better in them....which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, seeing as there are no blocks/padding...
I see them often on eBay, but as of this moment, I'm not working, so $$ is a bit tight right now....but, in time....
I have gotten several offers to hack horses for people, but I need my own saddle...I hate opportunities that slip by LOL!

Knee rolls make me buggy, usually.
The PdN is a standard bearer. It is a well-made well-balanced saddle that just WORKS.

And ditto on needing your own saddle to hack oph's. I hope you find one soon. They come up very inexpensive occassionally.
