Hey has anyone here ever been to the Purina Mills H.O.W. (Horse Owners Workshop)? I am planning on going this Sat. My local feed and Seed is hosting one. I have never been I was curious what exactly went on. I suppose if none of youhave ever been I can com back and let you know. In case you are interested. It is a free workshop with no registration needed. That is pretty much all I know about it right now.

I haven't been to one but I've heard that it's basically a Live Info-Mercial for Purina feed products.

If that is the case I might not be there for the whole two hours. LOL! I do know that they want you to try their "Strategy" feed.

OK so I went to the H.O.W. Sponsered by my local feed and seed and Purina MIlls. It was great. I did not think it was one Purina Mills commercial. The first person that spoke gave us important info "like who to call if you see horses being abused or if any livestock or goods have been stolen from you" Which we did not know what to do about that. ALso info about fostering and branding. Then the next person talked about nutrition and how you know your horse is getting enough and so forth and finally it was about Vaccinations which ones are imperitive to are area and worming.. It was really good my Aunt nad mom ended up coming with us and between the three of us we took home over 200 dollars in "door prizes". Including two one year subscriptions to Equus Magazine. I would definately encourage people to go check it out. It was a lot fo fun.

Yeah it was really great I was down at the barn looking at the stuff we got. My Aunt Got a bucket full of stuff to help groom your orse with and products to use on your horse. I won a fifty dollar bottle of this fly killer stuff you use on your barn and stuff to keep flies away. They handed us all goody bags filled with different products liek I got a mane detangler along with other stuff in my bag. My mom got a bunch of stuff too. They also had wrangler gift certificate that soemone won, Hats , t-shirts, and etc. Everyone who showed up left home with some goods. So it was so worth going. I felt like we got paid in goods for the two hours I spent there. They also supplied us with refreshments our throats were never parched and our stomachs did not go hungry. Well they might have if we went there hungry but chips and cookies were good to tie us over until we could get lunch. You can check out the Purina Mills website and plug in your zip code and find out if or when they will have one by you. Well I hope you all had a great weekend.
