That would be me! #yay#
Bruce and I are going to FDR State PArk this weekend for a church retreat. There is a lot of free time Sat so we are bringing our horses and ride the trails Friday before the retreat, Sat during the free time and perhaps Sunday after the retreat.

#dancebanana# GREAT! Well, I don't ONLY trail ride, but that's pretty much what I do. I don't think the rest of what I do has a label #73afc4b9# But that's ok. As long as I'm riding, I'm fine #woohoo#

I just found a new place to haul to and it was really nice and only 30 min haul from here. I think next week we are going to try out another new place.

So, you guys are all invited to come and ride at my place. We live up in the mountains of Virginia, about halfway up the second highest peak in Virginia, and our property is surrounded on three sides by National Forest. We trail ride at least once a week. Actually, this past summer, I did more trail riding than anything else, since we were hosting a weekend camping/riding event to benefit our therapeutic riding program in Sept. We scouted terrain, cut trails (to connect from one trail to another), dug trails into the sides of hills, cleaned and pruned trails, chainsawed fallen trees, ect and ect, lol, all summer. But our event was a HUGE success, with people coming from Eastern Shores, Maryland, Richmond, and many other places. Every one of them said that our trails were the most beautiful and fun trails they've been on. Every one of them said they will be at our next event with all of their friends. Here is a website with some pics that one of the riders took of the trails and camping and stuff. If you look at the fourth row down, second pic from the right, you will see my hand and knee. #lmao# Oh, and third row down, second from left is a pic of my Suburban.

I bought a horsetrailer not too long ago, but the only place we've hauled to is the vet's. I hate riding by myself and would love to find a riding buddy. None of my stock horse friends like riding with me and Magic because they have a hard time keeping up with us.

Alas, I understand them. I used to board with a woman that had TWHs. Poor Penny....she was exhausted trying to keep up with that running walk. She sure could cover some ground!

Hey Ratz, if you don't live too far from me, I'd go riding w/ya! how far in AR do you live? I'm about a half-3/4 hr or so from the border, I think (haven't ever clocked it, as I don't go that way much) Of course, mom would have to be willing, too, since she'd be drivin' Until I can pull a trailer, that is... I have a feeling that will be a while. Anyway, we've only got one MFT that I'd take on a trail, but my other horses do whatever they have to to keep up with the MFTs (especially if they're mares ) sometimes at the expense of my behind #73afc4b9#
