I'm getting ready to order supplements and was confused by the sheer number of products and the different formulations.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a supplement for an older OTTB and an older well-used ranch horse who both have arthritic changes in their knees?

IF the horse doesn't have metabolic issues/Insulin Resistance, etc. then a good liquid Glucosamine/Chondroitin as well as liquid MSM will help. Oral H.A. hasn't been proven to do much of anything. The body just doesn't utilize it properly through the g.i. tract. Powder joint supplements also don't absorb well and lose much of their effectiveness. I had GREAT results with Corta-Rx...not Corta-Flex. The Rx is much higher potency and I believe you can now get the Rx OTC...no longer need a vets prescription.
You may also want to consider BL Solution for pain management or going with Aspirin like Arthri-Ease. If you do aspirin, tho, go ahead and chuck in some XS Tums to buffer the tummy.

I agree with the liquid, too.
I have had great results with "Next Level" liquid for arthritis in both horses and dogs. I recommend it to my clients with geriatric horses. It has both the Chond. Sulf., Glucosamine, MSN, pernal mussel, shark cartilage, and a couple of other things.

How about LubriSyn? Anyone heard of that? I've heard it's expensive but works really well.
I will go price the other suggestions and see what I can get my hands on.
Thanks for the help!

I have no experience with LubriSyn....sorry. And you're quite welcome.
